World Youth Wind Symphony

Globally renowned as one of the world’s finest youth ensembles, the World Youth Wind Symphony is Interlochen Arts Camp’s most advanced wind ensemble. Led by acclaimed conductors, WYWS presents a diverse and challenging repertoire that ranges from band standards to new works by emerging composers.

As a member of the World Youth Wind Symphony, you’ll rehearse alongside the world’s most talented wind and percussion students. You’ll play under the batons of the nation’s finest conductors, perform in breathtaking venues, and polish your skills in weekly private lessons. You’ll also forge lifelong friendships and join thousands of Interlochen alumni as part of a nearly 100-year musical tradition.

WYWS Conductors

Deeply passionate about working with young artists, the World Youth Wind Symphony conductors lead daily rehearsals and serve as mentors, role models, and inspirations for Interlochen Arts Camp’s wind students. As leaders of some of the world’s most prestigious collegiate and professional ensembles, the WYWS conductors bring decades of experience as educators and interpreters of wind band literature to their roles at Interlochen Arts Camp.
