High School Percussion Institute (one week)

The percussion institute offers opportunities for highly motivated students to work with world-class faculty in many different percussion disciplines. During your week here, you'll have master classes and ensemble opportunities on marimba, timpani, world percussion, drum set, and orchestral percussion.

The goal of the percussion institute is to prepare you for further serious study, in high school and beyond. You will perform in master classes, have individualized learning opportunities with a faculty member, and play in a variety of percussion ensembles.

Required Materials

One letter of recommendation from a private teacher or band director that outlines the student's motivation, skill level, and note-reading proficiency. Upload the letter in PDF format.
