The visual arts program attracts highly dedicated and talented faculty, staff, and students from around the world to create an environment focused on the exchange of artistic values, ideas, and aesthetics.
In 2009, the visual arts programs will relocate to the new Dow Center for Visual Arts. This exceptional facility includes separate studios for ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing, metals, digital arts, photography, printmaking and fibers. The light-filled complex also features a professional gallery space for exhibitions.
High School Division (grades 9-12)

Intermediate Division (grades 6-9)
The Intermediate visual arts program is designed to both challenge experienced students and build foundations and confidence for students who want to try a new medium. All courses stimulate and encourage creativity, and develop skills and an understanding of art foundations.
Junior Division (grades 6-9)
Formerly known as Global Arts, the Junior General Arts Program provides a rich and diverse experience within the arts. Participants in the General Arts Program take a two-period Global Arts Studio and three other electives from areas such as Visual Arts, Music, Dance, Theatre, Creative Writing, Environmental Exploration or additional recreation.
PLEASE NOTE: 6th graders may apply for either Junior or Intermediate programs, and 9th graders may apply for either Intermediate or High School programs. The admission committee will determine the appropriate placement.
