About Rick

Rick Faugno has performed across the country at every major theater, from Carnegie Hall to the Kennedy Center, from the Chicago Theater to San Francisco’s Curran.

He has performed and worked with some of the greatest names in Broadway history, including Tommy Tune, Cy Coleman, Comden and Green, Herb Gardner, Daniel Sullivan, Ann Reinking, Gwen Verdon, Graciela Daniele, Julie Andrews, Kathleen Marshall, Jack O'Brien, Jerry Mitchell, Des McAnuff, Scott Ellis, Donna McKechnie, Wayne Cilento, Warren Carlyle, Susan Stroman, and many others.

He began his professional career at age 12, when he made his Broadway debut in The Will Rogers Follies. He was last seen on Broadway in Kiss Me, Kate, his 7th Broadway show, for which he was nominated for a Chita Rivera Award. He is also the recipient of a Fred Astaire Award for Roundabout’s On The 20th Century, and a Best Singer Award for the role of Frankie Valli in the original Las Vegas production of Jersey Boys. He recently completed a workshop production of Susan Stroman’s new Broadway-bound musical.

He has been seen on TV in The Newsroom, The Following, America’s Got Talent, Conan O’Brien and more. He received the Best Performance award at the Orlando Film Festival for his role in the film Virgin Alexander.

Faugno is also a choreographer, setting pieces for dance competitions as well as for various performances. He recently choreographed dance pieces for Maine State Ballet and the musical Grease! at the Cape Playhouse.

 

I strive to push my students outside their comfort zones and inspire them to discover their full creative potentials. I never want them to settle for anything less than their best.
