About Mark

Dr. Mark Sholl is the Performing Arts Coordinator for the Hilliard City Schools. His responsibilities include overseeing the music budget and staffing for 13 elementary schools, two 6th grade schools, three middle schools and three high schools and the ILC. Dr. Sholl is the music director of the Columbus Symphony Cadet Orchestra, one of four levels of youth orchestras associated with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. He has studied at The Peabody Conservatory, The University of Michigan, where he received a Bachelor of Music, and The Ohio State University from which he received both his Master of Arts and PhD. Prior to becoming the Performing Arts Coordinator in Hilliard, Dr. Sholl directed the Orchestra program at Hilliard Davidson High School. While there, he took his orchestras to multiple National and State level conference performances including the Midwest Clinic and The ASTA National Orchestra Festival.
