Interlochen Center for the Arts hosts Signature Series

The series, which runs through fall and winter, features fully-produced performances by Interlochen Arts Academy students and appearances by nationally-known visiting artists.

Interlochen Center for the Arts will host its popular Signature Series this fall, featuring student artists from Interlochen Arts Academy as well as nationally-renowned visiting artists. Each event is open to the public, and tickets are available on Interlochen’s website. 
 
The Signature Series is Interlochen’s top-tier fall-winter performance series. This year’s selection includes beloved student events such as “Collage,” Sounds of the Season, and The Nutcracker, as well as readings, screenings, and performances by acclaimed visiting artists like Patrice Rushen and Ross Gay. 
 
“The variety we’re offering in the Signature Series this year is a testament to the talent and versatility of our students and guests,” says Brent Wrobel, executive director of Interlochen Presents. “We’re so excited to welcome audiences to Interlochen this fall and winter. Whether you enjoy rock operas like Jesus Christ Superstar, explorative documentaries like Los Hermanos, or classic ballets like Cinderella, there is something for you here!”

Contemporary Music: With Special Guest Patrice Rushen

Grammy-nominated jazz pianist and R&B singer Patrice Rushen joins Interlochen Arts Academy’s singer-songwriter and jazz combo students for an unforgettable evening of music. Best known for her 1982 single “Forget Me Nots,” the ASCAP Songwriters’ Award winner is widely regarded as one of the world’s finest jazz pianists.
