Acting Company Production for Grades 6-9

In the six-week acting company production summer program, you will work with other talented students and experienced instructors to prepare a three-performance run of a full-length play.

This program is designed for students with moderate to advanced theatre experience. You will develop your skills in acting, voice, and movement through intensive daily repertory theatre rehearsals and acting technique class.

The program culminates with three performances of the production with technical and design support. Recent productions include The Winter's Tale, Twelfth Night, Sparrow, Anon(ymous),Our Town,The Snow, and Julius Caesar, and Radium Girls

While repertory production students do not have elective classes, you will have many opportunities throughout the summer to enjoy student and guest artist presentations in music, dance, film, theatre, creative writing, and visual arts.


Guest Artists

Interlochen offers students the opportunity to study with some of the top artists and educators in the field. The theatre department regularly welcomes visiting artists. Recent guests of the department include:

Audition Requirements

Video file # 1: One comedic monologue, 1-2 minutes in length, from a published play of your choice.

Video file # 2: One serious monlogue, 1-2 minutes in length, from a published play of your choice.
