High School Theatre Improvisation Summer Program

If you’ve ever wondered about the hilarious possibilities of improv and want to learn more, this program is for you! Improvisation training helps actors build confidence, courage, and creativity. It also teaches actors to trust their instincts, to learn to stay out of their head, to listen, and to respond honestly. Perhaps more than any other acting training, improv work opens up possibilities and helps you grow both on and off the stage.

Program length: 3 weeks
Program dates:
June 27, 2020 to July 18, 2020
Tuition: $6,100
Age range: Students currently in grades 9-12

This program is designed for students with a passion for creative spontaneity and an openness to explore new territory. Course work includes both short-form and long-form improvisation exercises, as well as a core training class in Acting Technique. You will learn to create compelling characters and scenes in the moment. Your studies will culminate in an Improv Night presentation for fellow students and families, where the laughs will be fast and furious.

Students have the opportunity to round out their experience with one elective class.
