New for Summer 2020, this program is designed for young artists who are dedicated at an early age to learning the skills specifically associated with creative writing—in particular returning junior campers who want to immerse themselves more fully in the written word.
During the two-week sessions, your artistic home will be the The Writing House, a tranquil and inspiring space built specifically to meet the needs of young writers. View 360-degree virtual tour.
Via fun writing prompts and short readings and discussions in multiple genres, including fiction and poetry, you will discover new worlds of possibilities in writing. Small class sizes and individualized mentorship provide opportunities to work closely with instructors and other students from all over the world who share your artistic interests.
Enrich your experience with the choice of one elective class, which is a great opportunity to explore other art forms, such as music, ballet, threatre, or visual arts. View list of elective class options.
Students will be given notebooks and pencils. Laptops are optional. Students who bring a computer should also bring a USB flash drive to facilitate printing. iPads are not recommended.
