Sasha Lazare

Sasha is a New York-based actor, producer, and teaching artist. She serves as the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Pigeonholed Theater, where she is also head of the children's education wing. As an actor, she has performed throughout New York City and regionally. Favorite roles include Ruby in #yourmemorial (World Premiere, HERE Arts Center), the title role in Mary Stuart, Sharon in Detroit, and Julia in The Two Gentlemen of Verona. She has taught acting throughout the country, including with Brooklyn Acting School and Zara Aina, a nonprofit that introduces clowning to kids in underserved communities. At Tisch, she studied in the Meisner and Classical Studios and has been trained in Moment Work, the Tectonic Theatre Project's devising method. This will be her second summer teaching at Interlochen.
