From Colombia, Sandra Morales holds a bachelor’s degree in violin from Distrital University and a master’s degree from Duquesne University. She has participated in master classes with Katherine Fong, Robert McDuffie, Simone Bernardini, and Latica Honda-Rosenberg, among others.

Sandra is a founding member of the Youth Philharmonic of Colombia and also performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia for five years. She has attended several festivals including the Cartagena Music Festival, masterclasses at the Rostock Summer Camp, A tempo International Festival, FEMUSC, International Violin Seminar in Panguipulli-Chile, and Sewanee Music Festival. She values the importance of art as an element of social transformation and education. She was member of The Global Leaders Program, a graduate certificate in social entrepreneurship, cultural agency, and teaching artistry in which she visited music programs and festivals, giving recitals and workshops in Washington D.C., Quebec, and Chile. One album she recorded as member of the Nueva Filarmonia Orchestra was awarded Best Classical Recording in the 2019 Latin Grammy Awards. Currently, she is pursuing her Doctor in Musical Arts West Virginia University.
