Rosa Ortega Iannelli is a violist from San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2014, Rosa began their undergraduate studies at Temple University, where they studied with Dr. Ana Tsinadze, Principal Violist of the Bay Atlantic Symphony, and Kerri Ryan, Assistant Principal Violist of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Rosa has had the opportunity to play in masterclasses for renowned musicians including Roberto Diaz, Atar Arad, Nokuthula Ngwenyama, and Adriana Linares. As a music educator, Rosa has taught with the Memphis Music Initiative, Play on Philly!, Philadelphia String Project, and many other organizations that bring music education to underserved youth. An avid orchestral musician, Rosa has played with the IRIS Orchestra, the International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico, and was a member of NYO-USA 2014. Rosa spent last year in Memphis, TN, as an IRIS Orchestra Artist Fellow, working closely with world-class musicians and ensemble director Michael Stern.
