Leigh Munoz is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Bassoon at the University of Missouri and serves as the coordinator for their Music Entrepreneurship Certification program. She currently performs with the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas and is a regular substitute bassoonist and contrabassoonist with the Kansas City Symphony, Lyric Opera, and Kansas City Ballet. Leigh is the founder and owner of GoBassoon Reeds LLC which provides thousands of bassoon and contrabassoon reeds annually to professionals and amateurs across the Unites States. An advocate for new music, she has presented several premieres of new works at the International Double Reed Society conferences on both bassoon and contrabassoon. Since 2009 she has served as treasurer and web editor for the Midwest Double Reed Society. Prior to joining the University of Missouri, she taught at both Missouri State University and Washburn University. She holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and Ohio University.
