About Keith

Keith Brown is a music host and producer at Interlochen Public Radio. He is the executive producer of IPR's videogame music program GAMEPLAY.

Highly skilled in languages, he speaks Italian, French, German, and Russian. He teaches courses at Interlochen Arts Camp on diction and opera history and has directed student opera scenes.

Also a professional voiceover artist and audiobook narrator with a background as an opera singer, Brown has been praised by Opera News for his "warm bass-baritone" and for performances "inflected with fine rubato." His onstage engagements took him from Carnegie Hall (in Howard Hanson's opera "Merry Mount") to Italy and Newfoundland in works from Puccini to Sondheim.

He is also a former first-place winner of the American Prize in Vocal Performance, and holds degrees in classical voice from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM).

Brown lives in Interlochen with his family. His wife, Dr. Laura Osgood Brown, is Interlochen Arts Academy Instructor of Voice and Opera Workshop.

My aim in all my work is to inspire new generations of artists and listeners.
