Katherine is an artist, educator, and scholar currently based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a Ph.D student in the Educational Neuroscience Lab, where her research focuses on the intersections of drama and cognitive development. In her academic work she attempts to leverage interdisciplinary scholarship in support of equitable access to arts education. Katherine is also a professional actor (EMC) and teaching artist. As an educator, some favorite experiences include her role as the Education Director for Montana Shakes!, instructor of an undergraduate Drama and Education course, and teaching with the Children’s Theatre of Madison, the Oakhill Prison Humanities Project, Whoopensocker, the Maher Ashram, and the Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam. Favorite performance credits include Door Shakespeare, Optimist Shakespeare in the Park, Double Edge Theatre, Adishakti Theatre/Dash Arts, and the Missoula Children’s Theatre. She is thrilled to be returning to camp this summer for her 10th year with Interlochen!
