Violist Jaclyn Dorr is currently the Interim Assistant Director for the Young People's String Program and Director of the Allegro Strings Camps at the Peabody Institute Preparatory. She holds a masters degree in viola performance, with an emphasis on violin/viola pedagogy, from the Peabody Conservatory. Her principal teachers include Victoria Chiang, Masao Kawasaki and Catharine Carroll and served as the teaching assistant for all three. In 2015, Jaclyn made her solo debut at the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland performing Pierre Boulez's Messagesquisse during a day-long event commemorating the composer's 90th birthday. She has had the privilege of working with distinguished violists from around the world, including Nobuko Imai, Kim Kashkashian, Roberto Diaz, Heidi Castleman, Atar Arad, Mischa Amory, Jutta Puchhamer-Sedillo, Stephen Wyrczynski, among others. Jaclyn and her husband, Colin, reside in Northeast Baltimore with their daughter Clara, dog Vincenzo, and cat Giuseppe.
