Currently serving on the faculty of Butler University, Dr. Kate Boyd regularly performs throughout the US and abroad as a soloist and chamber musician. In 2017, she received Butler's university-wide award for Outstanding Faculty of the Year.
Recent performances highlights include solo recitals in Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall and at the Corfu (Greece) Piano Festival; and live dance performances set to the Bach Partitas.
Dr. Boyd has presented at many conferences, including the International John Cage Conference in Malaysia and the European Piano Teachers Association Conference in Germany. In 2020 she has been invited to present at the MTNA Conference in Chicago. Boyd is in frequent demand as a masterclasses clinician, and has worked with students of all ages.
The 2019-2020 season will take her to New Zealand and China, where she will give masterclasses, as well as perform solo recitals and Beethoven’s complete sonatas for violin and piano.
