About Annette

Memphis native Annette (Anne) Misener teaches and performs violin, viola, cello, and sometimes piano in the Cincinnati, Ohio region; the New York City area; and beyond.

She enjoys championing new works, especially by composer and partner Dr. Phillip Roberts, as well as works by lesser-known composers. Misener also enjoys recording and collaborating: she has recorded with artists such as Nick Black, for Ballet Memphis, and has premiered shows such as Chameleon off-Broadway.

Misener and Roberts were joined by Michael G. Ronstadt to form Trio Apéritif, a live trio chamber concert last September 2022 in Oxford, Ohio as part of the Red Door Concert Series at Holy Trinity Episcopal; they will be performing together again this upcoming September, and hopefully beyond. Additionally, Misener enthusiastically performs frequently with the Butler Philharmonic Orchestra violin section.

In the power of love and beauty, I seek kindred spirits to manifest tranquility through expression.
