Andy Denton is a teaching artist that uses welded metal and ceramics to comment upon contemporary belief-systems in physical form. Many cities across the Southeast and Midwest have exhibited his outdoor sculptures. His work can be seen locally at the Oliver Art Center in beautiful Frankfort, MI in a group exhibition called Lake Effects. The ceramic, metal, and paper sculptures in the exhibit were made as an Artist-in- Resident at the Armory Art Center. He is returning to West Palm Beach for a second year in the fall where he teaches sculptural welding and continues to produce and exhibit his work. Andy earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Master of Fine Arts from East Carolina University. He manages the Dow Visual Art building at Interlochen Center for the Arts during for the summer.
