Students at Interlochen spend much of their time focused on learning, creating and performing. But between classes and rehearsals they still find time for summer adventure and fun in the northwoods of Michigan.
Interlochen provides a wellness program that gives students the ability to better understand their bodies. In this program, students learn how to properly use and take care of their bodies to prevent injury and prepare themselves for a lifetime as healthy artists.
Located in beautiful northwest Michigan, the 1,200 acre Interlochen Arts Camp campus includes 120 cabins, three cafeterias, two sandy freshwater lakes and over a dozen performance venues.
There's a lot to see and do while at Interlochen. Campers can participate in and enjoy several performances, readings and art exhibitions each week. There are no classes on Monday afternoons, and off-campus field trips to the Sleeping Bear Dunes and Peterson Beach on Lake Michigan are camper favorites.
