Visual arts concentrations offer courses that emphasize specific skills within a visual arts area (i.e. ceramics). Although all concentrations are offered in both three-week sessions, the specific curriculum for each session will be different. For example, a student taking the ceramics concentration in the first session (June 26 - July 17) will take hand-building as their two-hour course. A student taking the ceramics concentration in the second session (July 18 - August 9) will take wheel-throwing as their two-hour course. For more information about what courses will be offered in each concentration during each session, please see the detailed program description.
Students who take a three-dimensional concentration will also choose a two-hour course from a selection of two-dimensional subjects, which include: Digital Arts, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Advanced Photography, or Printmaking.
Students who take a two-dimensional concentration will also choose an elective from a selection of three-dimensional subjects, which include: Book Arts, Ceramics, Fiber Arts, Metals, or Sculpture.
