Creative exploration and the development of individual potential are the primary goals for junior theatre students in grades 3-6. In acting classes, students investigate the world of theatre through exercises that activiate their voices, bodies and imaginations.
Young actors learn rehearsal skills while performing pieces from youth theatre repertoire with modest technical support. Auditions are not required for this program. Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Openings are limited, so early application is encouraged.
During this four-week program, students participate in:
- Theatre production rehearsal
- Acting technique class
- Two additional electives (see elective options)
How to Apply
Students can apply online (strongly encouraged) or by mail. This program enrolls on a first-come, first-served basis, so early application is advised.
Additional Opportunities
New for summer 2013: students with an interest in musical theatre are invited to audition for the Junior Musical Theatre Production summer program.
