High School Double Bass Institute

This institute is designed for serious students of the instrument in the classical field of music. The six day program will focus on each student attaining musical skills and techniques on the double bass that will better prepare them for high school and college music study.

Audition Requirements

Video or audio file #1: Choose one movement from a piece listed in the suggested audition repertoire list or choose a piece of comparable difficulty (no etudes).

Video or audio file #2 Choose one movement from an additional piece (no etudes).

Selections of contrasting style, and piano accompaniment when appropriate, are recommended.
