Steven Lorenz, M.M.E.

Mr. Lorenz is currently the director of choral activities at Pioneer High School, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the 2011 National GRAMMY® Signature School. In addition, Mr. Lorenz conducts Measure for Measure: A Men's Choral Society, an 85-voice men's choir based in Ann Arbor.

Mr. Lorenz holds degrees from Michigan State University (M.M.) and Carleton College (B.A.), studying conducting with Jonathan Reed and Lawrence Burnett.  Choirs prepared by Mr. Lorenz have appeared at the American Choral Directors Association central division convention, American Choral Directors Association Michigan state convention, Intercollegiate Men's Choruses seminar, and the Michigan Music Conference. Mr. Lorenz has been named the MSVMA State TTBB Honors Choir conductor for 2013.

Currently, he serves on the boards of the Intercollegiate Men's Choruses and the American Choral Directors Association-Michigan as Repertoire and Standards Chair for Male Choirs. Past appointments include South Lyon High School and Oakland Community College.
