Shawna M. James is an actor, director, and educator from the San Fransisco Bay Area. She made her way to Boston to study at Boston University the fall of 2014. While there, she has been able to take part in many wonderful theatrical opportunities through her university and outside including the Regional Premiere of An Octoroon by Branden Jacob-Jenkins at Company One Theatre. In the spring of 2017 Shawna traveled to London to study at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) studying classical text and acting. Shawna began teaching when she was sixteen starting with music/songleading at her synagogue in California and most recently taught at the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival teaching Shakespeare technique and performance. In May of 2018, she received her B.F.A. in Theater Arts and minor in Arts Leadership.
