Sarah E. Pearsall received her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Florida International University. She is currently an Instructor of Writing at the University of South Florida, in Tampa. Her fiction and nonfiction has been featured in Sliver of Stone Literary Magazine and Tampa Bay Mom's Magazine. She also served as the food writer for Around Wellington Magazine for four years. Sarah is the recipient of fellowships from South Hampton Writers and Writer’s in Paradise. Her short story, Good Fences, won 1st place fiction and her essay, The backyard Thief won 2nd place in nonfiction at the FIU literary awards in 2008. Her flash fiction story, Take my Pygmy, Please was a notable read on She is currently preparing to launch her new online journal, Manna: Writing in Good Taste, which will focus on all genres of writing with food themes. When she is not teaching or writing, she and her two kids love to cook and travel.
