Rebecca graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, with minors in Music Performance (horn) and English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2008, she spent a month in Tel Aviv, Israel, studying the Gaga technique with Batsheva Dance Company, taking classes from Batsheva Company members and Ohad Naharin. She returned to Israel from February through June of 2011 on trainee/apprentice program with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, where she learned and performed works by Rami Be’er, Ohad Naharin, Mats Ek, and Sharon Vaisvaser. Rebecca currently is a guest choreographer and teaches master classes in Illinois Public School District 113 (Chicago northern suburbs). She is on the faculty at Foster Dance Studios, Evanston, IL, under the artistic direction of Ronn Stewart. She is a founding member and administrative coordinator for Stewart's new contemporary dance company, CoCoDaCo Dance Chicago. Rebecca is an IAC alumna, summers 2002-04, and is delighted to fulfill her dream of joining the Interlochen faculty.
