Rebecca is a dance educator and freelance dancer in Chicago. Rebecca graduated with a B.F.A. in Dance with a minor in Music Performance (horn) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and later achieved a K-12 Dance Education licensure from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  She has lived in Israel as trainee/apprentice with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company where she performed works by Rami Be’er, Ohad Naharin, and Mats Ek.  She has studied Gaga technique with Batsheva Dance Company, taking workshops with Ohad Naharin and Batsheva Company members.  Rebecca currently teaches dance at Ogden International Elementary in Chicago.  In the past, she has taught at Joel Hall Dance Center, The Chicago High School for the Arts and Dyett High School for the Arts, and she has integrated dance into elementary schools through Hubbard Street Dance Center’s education program. In addition, she choreographs and performs in a modern dance collective in Chicago, Delve. Rebecca is an IAC alumna (HSG 02-04). This is her fourth summer working at Interlochen and her third teaching the Junior students. Sound the call!
