Pierce Emata

Mr. Emata received his degrees in Piano at Indiana University.  In addition he has coached with John Simms and Istvan Nadas. He appeared twice in the "Sunday Afternoon at Cantigny" series and the nationally broadcast Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts, both in Chicago. His performances have also been broadcast over NPR affiliate stations in Washington, Nevada, and South Dakota Public Radio. Mr. Emata is also active as a teacher, adjudicator, and has served as an advisory panelist for the Indiana Arts Commission.  He has served on the juries of a number of competitions, including the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Southwest Regional piano competition, and will be the featured concert artist at the So. Dakota Music Teachers Association annual convention this November.  Presently maintaining a private teaching practice in Las Vegas, Nevada, he is the past president of the Nevada Music Teachers Association.
