Peggy Trecker White joins the Interlochen community from Hilton Head Island, SC where she is a company member of South Carolina Repertory Company. In the fall of 2012, she had the pleasure of acting as the Theatre Artist in Residence for Interlochen Arts Academy and is excited to be returning for the summer. Directing credits include Moonlight and Magnolias, Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, Gutenberg! the Musical!, Charlotte's Web and Into the Woods. As an actor with SCRC she has played Katharine Hepburn in Tea at Five, Ben Affleck in Matt & Ben, Cathy in The Last Five Years and Becca in Rabbit Hole as well as roles in Oh, Coward!, The Pavilion, Mauritius, Almost Maine and Professional Skepticism. Other stage credits include the Broadway National Tour of Miss Saigon, Death of a Salesman with Theatre Mitu/Abu Dhabi, Absolution, Antigone and Richard II with American Repertory Theatre, the title role in Miss. Julie with Teatre Trouve, Living with Betty at the NY Fringe Festival and Ahraisak with Theatre Mitu in New York. While living in Los Angeles, Peggy was seen in The Merchant of Venice, The Music Man, Wonderful Town and directed the musical production of Orpheus Gets Laid. Peggy is the founder of the Hilton Head Performing Arts Studio which provides private instruction in Acting, Voice, Musical Theatre Performance, Eginton Alignment and Pilates.
