Kyle A. Thomas is a directing specialist in theatre, musical theatre, and non-traditional performance with directing credits across the United States and abroad. Kyle is a specialist in postmodern approaches to historical drama. He is a Mellon Foundation Grant recipient for The Play about the Antichrist at the University of Illinois and recently directed the acclaimed production of The Play of Adam at the Metropolitan Museum Cloisters in New York. Selected directing credits include Absence with Pictures for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival; Ah, Wilderness! at the International Drama Conference in Beijing, China; and Viva Verdi! with the Lyric Theatre @ Illinois at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Kyle studied Musical Theatre at Ouachita University and is currently a Ph. D candidate in Theatre at the University of Illinois and faculty in the Department of Theatre at Parkland College.
