With reviews such as "breathtaking…," "virtuosic tone and technique," and "exceptionally sensitive and introspective rendition," Kimberly Cole Luevano continually establishes herself as a formidable soloist and chamber musician. Dr. Cole is a professor in the College of Music at the University of North Texas and has given acclaimed solo and chamber performances, adjudicated, and presented masterclasses throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and in South America.
A versatile and active freelance musician, Dr. Cole has performed as a member of numerous orchestras and was clarinetist in the contemporary music ensemble Quorum for over ten years. She is featured in several recordings distributed on the Centaur and Albany labels and is a particular advocate of contemporary music.
Originally from New Mexico, Dr. Cole studied in Paris, France as the recipient of a Fulbright Grant and was a prizewinner in several young artist competitions including the International Clarinet Association Young Artist Competition.
