Rae Buchanan

Instructor of Junior Acting, Interlochen Arts Camp

M.F.A., Acting, Purdue Univeristy; B.A., Musical Theatre, Weber State University

Rae Buchanan is an educator and actor who is thrilled to return to Interlochen Arts Camp this summer. Theatre is a magical experience, and she is dedicated to sharing this experience with her students. As an actor, Rae has performed both regionally and internationally, including a German/English production of Faust (Gretchen), and her favorite roles include Susy (Wait Until Dark), Rosalind (As You Like It), and Jenny (Assistance). When not at Interlochen, Rae can be seen performing as Alice in the Know Theatre’s original touring show Alice in Neverland and as a healthcare clown at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. As an educator, Rae conducts original workshops and partners with institutions such as the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, EdTA, and Madcap Education Center. She is thankful for the opportunity to work with young artists; their imaginations, courage, and creativity continue surprise and inspire her.
