Kat Coiro

Instructor of Acting for the Camera, Interlochen Arts Camp

Coiro recently wrapped an episode of Amazon's Emmy-winning "Mozart in the Jungle" and is attached to direct three more episodes of Fox's "The Mick" in its second season (she directed two during their first season "The Fire" & "The Bully"). Coiro recently wrapped two episodes of "Alone Together" for ABC freeform. She also directed an episode of "The Girlfriend's Guide To Divorce" for Bravo. As a writer Coiro has sold and developed multiple comedy pilots for NBC and ABC. She has also done a handful of shorts and features. Of Coiro's second feature "And While We Were Here”, which she wrote and directed, Variety wrote: "Between the architectural pillars of Renaissance Italy and Kate Bosworth, helmer Kat Coiro hangs a gossamer tale of ruined love and liberation. Bosworth blossoms beautifully and Claire Bloom delivers a vocal performance so deft that her character seems to take palpable form." In film she has worked with actors: Vince Vaughn, Justin Long, Sam Rockwell, Krysten Ritter, Rachel Bilson, Jason Biggs, Jamie Blackley and Evan Rachel Wood. Her commercial clients include Coke, Nutrish, Coldwell Banker and more. Coiro studied theater, film and history at Carnegie Mellon University, at The Moscow Art Theater in Russia and briefly at the masters program at AFI. She is on the summer faculty at Interlochen Center For the Arts and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Rhys Coiro (Entourage, Ray Donovan, 24) and their three children. She is repped at CAA and 3Arts.
