Jonathan Lombardo

Instructor of Trombone, Interlochen Arts Camp

Jonathan Lombardo is Principal Trombone of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, a position he has held since 2005. He has also played with the Boston, Baltimore, Detroit, Cincinnati, San Antonio, Syracuse, and Sarasota Orchestras. As a soloist Jonathan premiered Eric Ewazenʼs Concerto for Three Trombones, a work written for the Buffalo Philharmonic and its trombone section. An active teacher, Jonathan has given recitals and master classes throughout the Untied States, Central/South America and Europe. Jonathan is on faculty at The University at Buffalo. He holds a Bachelor of Music from The Juilliard School where he was a student of Joseph Alessi and Per Brevig. He is an Interlochen Arts Academy Graduate ('00) and camp alumnus ('96.)
