Jenna began her musical studies at St. Olaf College, in Minnesota, under the instruction of Herbert Winslow, associate principal horn of the Minnesota Orchestra. In 2007, she completed her Bachelor of Music degree, graduating magna cum laude with departmental distinction in horn performance. From there, she commenced her masters studies with Randy Gardner at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, graduating with her Master of Music degree in 2009. Jenna enjoyed a vibrant freelancing career in both performance and horn instruction throughout Ohio and enjoyed the second horn position in the Canton Symphony Orchestra from 2009-2017. McBride-Harris returned to higher education in 2014 to begin her doctoral studies in horn performance with Bruce Henniss at The Ohio State University where she recently graduated in May of 2017. Her research interests involve introducing other art media into horn learning and performance through Interdisciplinary Transfer and Cultivation, a method developed by McBride-Harris.
