Jeannette Pomeroy Parssi

Instructor of Visual Arts, Interlochen Arts Camp

Ms. Parssi received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College. She is a gifted visual artist whose work can be found in galleries and private/corporate collections around the world. Ms. Parssi is the founder and president of ArtStart, a Florida non-profit organization whose mission is to provide educational opportunities in the arts. ArtStart delivers hands-on arts education programs to at-risk youth in Palm Beach County. She has studied painting and drawing with such notable artists as Graham Nickson and Miroslav Antic, and she recently spent time in Italy studying the great masters and painting. Her talent is matched only by her generosity, as evidenced by her frequent donations of time and talent to charity organizations. Ms. Parssi was born and raised in Ohio and after graduating from Kalamazoo College she spent 17 years in Chicago. For the past 11 years she has been a resident of Wellington, Florida where she is raising two daughters.
