Jamison David Rhoads is an Assistant Professor of Theatre and Resident Designer at Newman University in Wichita KS. Jamison has designed over 100 productions as a scenic, lighting , and sound designer. Jamison is an alum of The Juilliard School in New York City where he completed the professional studies program in stage lighting. He holds an M.F.A. in Design from Temple University in Philadelphia PA, and a B.F.A. in Performance from Wichita State University in Wichita, KS. Prior to working at Newman, Jamison taught at Cowley College in Arkansas City, KS, The University of New Orleans, in New Orleans, LA, and Tufts University in Medford, MA. Some of Jamison’s favorite show to design and work on have been “A Man for All Seasons”, “Les Misérables”, “South Pacific”, “Noises Off”, “You Can’t Take It With You” and “Death of a Salesman.” When not gallivanting ground the country teaching Jamison and his wife Kate live and work in Wichita KS.
