Jamie A. Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Dance at Utah Valley University. After attending the University of Utah and earning a B.F.A. in Ballet and a B.A. in English, she danced professionally with numerous companies throughout the United States. Highlights include dancing as a principal dancer with Boulder Ballet and touring internationally with MOMIX, under the direction of Moses Pendleton. Other professional credits include performing with Sacramento Ballet, Ballet Pacifica and Chamber Dance Ensemble. As an educator, Johnson has had the opportunity to teach at Interlochen Center for the Arts, the University of Washington and the University of Wyoming. Her choreography has been performed by Boulder Ballet II, Interlochen Dance Ensemble and West Texas A & M University Dance Ensemble. Ms. Johnson presented original research on dance pedagogy and diversity at the National Dance Educators Organization and the World Dance Alliance conferences. She holds an M.F.A. in Dance from the University of Washington.
