Violinist Hannah Monk fell in love with the violin as a child the first time she heard a live orchestra perform and has been pursing music ever since. She lives in the Memphis Tennessee area and teaches for the Memphis Music Initiative. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Memphis. She holds an M.M. in Music Performance from the University of Memphis and a B.M. in Music Performance from the University of North Texas where she graduated summa cum laude. Passionate about sharing her love of music with children, she pursued long term Suzuki teacher training during her time at the University of Memphis and she spends her summers teaching at Interlochen Arts Camp in Interlochen, MI.
