Hannah Baumgarten, co-Director of Dance NOW! Miami grew up between Santa Cruz, California, and Jerusalem, Israel where she began her dance training. Hannah received a B.F.A from Juilliard under the mentorship of Ben Harkarvy after attending the University of Utah Ballet Department under Conrad Ludlow and Janek Schergen. Hannah is a winner of the State of Florida Choreographic Fellowship; her work has been presented nationally in 8 states and internationally and she has taught and choreographed throughout the US and abroad. While at Juilliard Hannah danced leads in works of Graham, Limon, Morris, Taylor, Sokolow, Harkarvy and others, and danced professionally with Utah Ballet, Michael Uthoff DanceTheatre, Labyrinth Dance Theatre, William Adair and Dancers, Karen Peterson & Dancers, Momentum Dance Company, Giovanni Luquini and Ballet Flamenco La Rosa; at Juilliard she had her work presented for 3 years. In Florida Hannah Directed the Magnet Dance Program at Dillard Center for the Arts in Ft. Lauderdale for 10 years, taught at Florida International University for two and currently serves as adjunct faculty at the Academy of Arts & Minds Charter High School. Ms. Baumgarten is mat certified in Pilates from Core Dynamics and has served as a grant panelist for the State of Florida and Miami-Dade Departments of Cultural Affairs.
