Hannah Baumgarten, originally from Santa Cruz, California, received her B.F.A. From the Juilliard School of Music in 1993. Hannah also attended the University of Utah where she danced with the Utah Ballet and served as company manager. She worked with the Michael Uthoff DanceTheatre as principal dancer and repeteur, Labyrinth Dance Theatre, William Adair and Dancers, Karen Peterson & Dancers, Momentum Dance Company, Giovanni Luquini and Ballet Flamenco La Rosa.
A State of Florida Choreographic Fellow, her work has been pre- sented in New York, Michigan, Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Florida. Hannah has taught/choreographed at at the Cincinnati Conservatory, Rutgers University, New World School of the Arts, West Texas A & M, Interlochen Arts Academy and Camp, Mercersburg Academy, the Institutto de Danza at Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, University of Pennsylvania Ballet, University City Arts League in Philadelphia, at regional and National High School Dance Festivals. She directed the Dance Program at Dillard Center for the Arts in Ft. Lauderdale for 10 years; she continues to educate youth in the public schools at DIllard and the Academy of Arts and Minds in Miami. Hannah is mat certified in Pilates from Core Dynamics and has served as a grant Panelist for the State of Florida Department of Cultural Affairs and the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs.
