Graham Emberton

Teaching Fellow, Violin, Interlochen Arts Camp

Graham Emberton is a violinist, Suzuki instructor, and committed music educator based in Memphis, TN. Graham currently works as a Teaching Fellow at Interlochen Arts Camp, and was previously on the faculties of DePaul Community Music Division in Chicago, and the Butler Community Arts School and Metropolitan Youth Orchestra in Indianapolis. Graham is a registered violin teacher through the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and has taken teacher training courses from Dr. Laurie Scott, Rolando Freitag, Nancy Jackson, and Libby Armour. In addition to his love for teaching, Graham is also an avid performing musician. He plays regularly with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and has attended several music festivals for orchestral and chamber music development, including the Britten-Pears Young Artist program, Bowdoin International Music Festival, National Orchestral Institute, and Orford Orchestra Academy. Graham graduated with a B.M. in violin performance, cum laude from Butler University, an M.M. in violin performance from DePaul University, and an Artist Diploma in violin performance from the University of Memphis. His violin teachers include Timothy Shiu, Janet Sung, Larry Shapiro, and Paula Ellliott.
