Emily Asad was born to Navy parents on the tiny island of Guam before the family returned to Minnesota, where she learned to juggle, bake bread and play chess. After graduating from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education, she also pursued a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from National University, and is currently working on a second Master’s degree in Humanities from American Public University System online. Emily and her husband have taught overseas in private academies as well as public and private schools in the States. Emily published 5 novels, specializing in Young Adult fiction with a range from science-fiction, historical, fantasy and contemporary pieces.
