Dr. Gordon Hicken is the Assistant Professor of Percussion and Associate Director of Bands at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX where he teaches Applied Percussion, Percussion Ensemble, Marching Percussion, Percussion Techniques, and Basketball Band. Gordon appeared as a soloist on the 2013 PASIC "Celebration of Emerging Artists" showcase concert, and he has performed with regional symphonies and chamber ensembles throughout the Eastern United States and Texas. Gordon regularly conducts masterclasses and clinics at universities and public schools, and he presented sessions at the 2014 FMEA and SCMEA Conventions, CBDNA Athletic Band Symposium, and South Carolina Day of Percussion. His recent recording credits include albums released by the Florida State University Percussion Ensemble, Scott Herring, and Adam Silverman.
