Diego Salterini

Diego Salterini, co-Director of Dance NOW! Miami, is originally from Rome, Italy. Diego moved to the U.S. in 1997 after an illustrious career as lead dancer, and assistant choreographer for many popular Italian T.V. and theatre shows. He trained with Maestro Roberto Salaorni, Flavio Bennati (Teatro La Scala), Michelle Ellis (ABT), Mamy Raomeria (Maurice Bejart), Ranko Yokoyama (Luis Falco), Max Stone, Susie Taylor, Roger Dillhaunty, and Michelle Kadison. Mr. Salterini taught in major European studios including I.A.L.S. Rome and Pineapple Studios, Covent Gardens, London and toured Italy in ACID, under the direction of Gisella Johnson. His choreography has been presented internationally and nationally in eight states. In the U.S., Mr. Salterini danced with Momentum Dance Company, Karen Peterson and Dancers, Michael Uthoff Dance Theatre, Kevin Black and Ballet Flamenco La Rosa as well as on Univision TV and widely in the music video world. He taught at Florida International University for 10 years, and currently teaches at Conchita Espinosa Academy. Diego has taught at institutions throughout the US and most recently, at Ballet Stagium and Kyone Ballet School in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Diego serves as regional jazz dance adjudicator for Young Arts.
