Autumn Brown is a native of Augusta, Ga. who has been a practicing metalsmith since hanging out with knife maker Lloyd Franklin in New Zealand's Coromandel Peninsula in 2003. The trip gave her new ambitions for practicing the metal arts and she has not looked back. After receiving her B.F.A. in Metalsmithing from the University of Georgia in 2006, Autumn continued on to M.F.A. in Metal Design from East Carolina University in 2010. Her artistic works, both in school and professional life, have received awards for artistic merit and have been showcased nationally and internationally.

Since 2010 Autumn has been instructing middle school, high school and college students to find their voice in metal as a craft, but also as an art. Most recently she is employed as metals instructor for Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Autumn continues her ambitions as an artist by making and showing work locally and nationally. She is also very involved in the national jewelry/metal arts community.
