Amber Joy Carpenter has received national and international awards for her harp playing, most recently being awarded First Place in the Rosen-Schaffel Competition. In addition to her solo work, she has also performed with the New York City Ballet, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, and the Union Symphony Orchestra, as well as various chamber groups such as Zéphyros Winds.  She has performed across the United States and abroad, including the World Harp Congress in Sydney, Australia, and has recently lectured at the WAAE music education conference in Auckland, New Zealand.

Ms. Carpenter regularly performs for concerts, recitals, & special events and loves playing for church worship. She maintains an active teaching career in her private studio and at various summer music programs.  Ms. Carpenter is President of the Charlotte Chapter of the American Harp Society and serves on the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Area Foundation for Music and Art.
