Video: Day in the Life

Comments

Thank you so much for this video! My two brothers and I had the opportunity to attend the summer camp in 1982. Now - more than a quarter of a century later - this video makes me fell like my Interlochen summer ended only yesterday ... Hugs from Germany, Matthias Dörfler - (back then Violin-Major, nowadays mechanical engineer in R&D in the automotive industry, but nevertheless practicing the 1st-violin of the Holberg-Suite for a performance in 4 weeks)
I'm going in 2010, and I'm extremely excited!! Everyone in my family has gone, and now it's my turn. :)
At my camp I had the same bugle to wake up. lol
I smiled and even came close to happy tears at times, I must admit. I was lucky enough to spend most of my formulative years at Interlochen, first as a "faculty brat", then as a day camper (JR, INT. and HS), then NMC staff & faculty and IAA faculty. Whew! Been far too many years since I have been able to get up to Interlochen, and this video just reinforced what a truly important and wonderful place Interlochen was on my life! Thanks for the memories!!!
I went to the National Music Camp (now Interlochen Arts Camp) from 1958 through 1963 (age 13-18). You brought back MANY memories of those 8 weeks "in the woods". Thanks. I was glad to see that Dr. Maddy's knickers are still being worn!! Those were the best six summers of my life!! I cannot listen to "Les Preludes" without goose bumps. Interlochen has always been a loving support of what life is about!
Wow...this takes me back! I spent two wonderful summers at Interlochen in the 80's and it completely changed my life. I am a professional musician now and I owe that in large part to my experiences there. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for taking me back 13 years to the best summer of my life!!
