In the summer of 2013, Interlochen Arts Camp launched a new six-week musical theatre program for junior students in grades 3-6. The students and faculty staged a production of "Dear Edwina," a play written by Interlochen alumna, Marcy Heisler. The play tells the story of Edwina Spoonapple, a young girl in search of an award or recognition. The play takes place in the small town of Paw Paw, Michigan, where Edwina sets up a show in her garage and dispenses advice to her peers. The junior musical theatre program helps students build a foundation in acting, dancing and singing.
