David Coucheron joined the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as concertmaster in Sept. 2010 as the youngest concertmaster among any major U.S. orchestra. He has performed as soloist with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Sendai Symphony Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he has given solo recitals at the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. He is on the artist-faculty of the Sarasota and Brevard Music Festivals, in addition to the Aspen Music Festival and School. Mr. Coucheron holds degrees from the Curtis Institute of Music, The Juilliard School and the Guildhall School.
