Intermediate theatre arts students in grades 6-9 receive a complete immersion in the exciting world of theatre. Each program offers stimulating work and performance opportunities. Students begin experimenting with the building blocks of performance: acting technique, ensemble work, improvisation, movement and character creation.
Repertory Theatre Production (6 weeks)
Experienced students focus on the further development of their acting, voice and movement skills through their intensive work on a non-musical play with modest technical support.
Theatre Ensemble (3 weeks)
Students work closely with their instructors and one another to create an original piece of theatre through collaborative ensemble work.
Musical Theatre Production (6 weeks)
Experienced students focus on the further development of their acting, singing and dancing skills through intensive work with a team of instructors. Students participate in staging a musical production with modest technical and design support.
Musical Theatre Workshop (3 weeks)
Students explore the musical theatre experience through work on songs, foundational acting techniques and choreography.
